Design Practicum


Fundamentals: Layout and Composition, Typography, Art Direction, Concepting, and Research

Methods: Books, courses, conferences, teaching sessions, team feedback, critique of other designer’s work


  • Read through chapters and do a practice assignment for each lesson (one to two per week). Sequential lessons (think of it as attending 4 different classes)
  • Possibly have assigned mentor (within TN and outside of work) for 2 weeks at a time
  • Critique other designer’s work on a weekly basis (like on Dribble or Behance)
